Testing is ongoing in Romania too! Fortunately, our kindergarteners love it!
In the first month of the year of 2025, the Mosolykert Kindergarten and its community reached a major milestone in the implementation of the OkosOvi project. For the first time, the 90% complete Measuring and Evaluation System was presented publicly to a professional audience in the city. Our institution invited the kindergartens of Debrecen and their teachers to present for the first time our project, its plans, its birth, its goals and its current state.
We invited teachers from 7 kindergartens, which were 13 in total.
OkosOvi team held a successful online consortium meeting
Today, on December 5th 2024, the latest online consortium meeting of the OkosOvi project was successfully completed with the participation of the partners involved in the project. During the virtual meeting, all participants presented the state of their respective sub-tasks and shared their progress so far.
OkosOvi continues to aim at creating an innovative, child-friendly and technologically advanced kindergarten system that contributes to raising the quality of education. The consortium members are optimistic about the future of the project, and all are committed to achieving the next milestones.
Once again, the online meeting proved that teamwork and shared commitment are the key to success.

Successful joint conference about OkosOvi and Inclusion4Schools in Greater Salon
On 3 October 2024, the joint conference of the OkosOvi and Inclusion4Schools projects took place in Greater Salon, with the participation of more than 75 educators, experts and education professionals. The event included a demo of the OkosOvi project's measurement and evaluation system for measuring and improving the effectiveness of pre-school education. In addition, participants were shown a short film, a presentation and a knowledge-sharing portal of the Inclusion4Schools project, which aims to promote and support inclusive education. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and learn about the latest educational innovations that support the development of future generations. The success of the event was reflected in the active contribution of the participants and the interest shown in the tools and methods presented. The OkosOvi project aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of pre-school education through innovative tools, while the Inclusion4Schools project aims to disseminate and strengthen inclusive education practices in the school environment. The OkosOvi project was presented on 27 September 2024 at the Researchers' Night at the University of Óbuda. Visitors to the event were able to learn about OkosOvi's innovative solutions for integrating digital technologies in pre-school education. Games were also on offer during the presentation.
We are pleased to announce that on Friday, October 4th we will be organising a conference in Greater Salon, where the OkosOvi measurement and evaluation system will be presented, as well as the Inclusion4Schools Horizon 2020 project and portal.
The team at OkosOvi is pleased to announce that our in-development preschool software has now completed 19 different skill-measuring exercises. Testing will continue after the summer break, with feedback from teachers and kindergarten children to refine the tasks to make them as effective as possible for young children's development.
We welcome all your questions and suggestions about our project. We are open for dialogue! Feel free to contact us: andras.merza@kutatokejszakaja.com
One of our new tasks is to mirror the correct animals in the correct box. Did you like these tasks?
Although the summer holidays are here in our institutions, we are still going strong. Our colleagues are constantly working on optimising our software and refining existing and future tasks.
We are pleased to share our first project video showing the completed tasks of our measurement and evaluation system.
We are pleased to announce that the Hajdú-Bihar County News Portal has conducted a very interesting interview with our project coordinator. Click HERE for the details.
Currently, 16 tasks are available and the testing process is running smoothly. Our experience shows that children are much more open and interested in the digital assessment system than in the previous paper-based system. The reason for this is that the set of tasks is very visual, aesthetic, motivating and innovative.
Continuous communication between the three institutions of the project helps us to monitor the progress of our activities, but especially the further development of our software. Our meetings are attended by an average of 20 experts. Our team is highly motivated to develop a high quality, useful measurement and evaluation system.
Europe Day with OkosOvi
Europe Day on the 12th of May was also a special day for preschoolers, who were eager to test the latest tasks of our OkosOvi project.
Meet us on the 12th of May 2024, 10:00-20:00, Budapest, Szabadság Square and get to know our project in person! More information via the link.
As more and more activities are developed by our experts and software developers, children can test and try out even more colourful, playful activities that develop their skills. All we can say is that it's a pleasure!
We are back with another new task. In this exercise, children have to arrange the body parts of a robot correctly and pull different objects into the matching hand. How do you like the task?
We are happy to announce that the development of the OkosOvi software has reached another milestone! Now 10 different skill-measuring tasks are available on the platform. These exercises allow children to test and develop their skills in an even wider range of activities while enjoying interactive challenges. Whether it's about developing memory, logical thinking or creativity, okosovi offers exciting opportunities for everyone.
Our colleagues ( both in Hungary and Romania) are constantly testing the OkosOvi software in daily practice to ensure a high quality and user-friendly experience. So far, a total of 20 children have tried the online tool, which aims to create a child-friendly learning environment. Based on their experience, we are fine-tuning the software to make learning in the digital space even more effective and fun. Through further testing and feedback, we aim to progressively improve the quality and functionality of our software.
The OkosOvi project software has reached a new milestone. Our staff and the developers have added an exciting new task to the system, which can measure additional skills for the youngest children.
The OkosOvi project remains committed to the development and education of children, and the update provides an even wider range of opportunities to identify different skills and talents.
We are pleased to announce that the assessment tool is being expanded with new, colourful exercises every week. The tasks assess different areas of capability.
The programme is also constantly being monitored and tested by our teacher colleagues.
The first workshop of the "Be Natural!" - empowering experiential education project was organised in Szentendre. The 5-day mobility programme brought together students and their accompanying teachers from the collaborating project partners in Dunaszerdahely and Szentendre.
The primary objective of the project is to achieve positive changes in the students' personalities through the use of nature as an experiential pedagogy.
"It has been scientifically proven that the experience of success provided by creative activities helps to restore self-esteem, develop a positive self-image, social skills and initiative, which are essential, among other things, for the development of the need for mobility."
Our measurement and evaluation system, which has already been briefly described, is expanding and evolving week by week. Every day, the consortium staff, together with the IT staff, fine-tune and use the different skills-measuring tasks. We will soon have the fourth type of task available. The first version will be followed by a lengthy test phase, which will run in two countries in tandem. The software will also be available in Romanian.
Our project at the Inclusion4Schools conference
The staff of the Researchers' Night Foundation participated in the Inclusion4Schools international conference, where they presented the OkosOvi project (poster presentation)
Under the leadership of the Mosolykert Óvoda Kindergarten, our experts are slowly completing the prototype tasks of our measurement and evaluation system. Thanks to the exercises we have developed, we can measure a wide range of ability areas through a variety of playful tasks.
The first type of task provides an example of gestalt vision.
Okosovi successfully completed an internal training course that gave a major boost to the digital skills development of the project participants. The training aimed to further develop the digital skills essential for professionals, thus contributing to a more efficient and innovative implementation of the project.
The Researchers' Night Foundation staff organised additional online in-house webinars to give participants an insight into the use of different digital tools. The events helped the consortium members to make better use of modern technological tools, thereby promoting an innovative approach to the project.
Passion and commitment to the Erasmus+ programme filled the air in the city of Nagyszalonta, which hosted the launch event of our project. The event was a key milestone in our partnership and provided an opportunity to get to know each other and develop our plans in more detail.
At the kick-off event, the consortium coordinator and the Researchers' Night Foundation presented the milestones and key tasks of the project. The presentations were followed by a round table discussion on the most important technical issues necessary for the smooth implementation of our common objectives. After the discussion, a tour of the Toldi Kindergarten was held, during which several ideas and methodologies in the field of education and training were presented.
The Consortium's attendance was also honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Nagyszalonta and representatives of the school district, bringing the total number of participating colleagues to 33.
We are pleased to announce that the assessment tool is being expanded with new, colourful exercises every week. The tasks assess different areas of ability.
The programme is also constantly being used and tested by our teacher colleagues.
